Introduction:

K’ima:w Medical Center, affiliated with the Hoopa Valley Tribe seeks to upgrade our cabling infrastructure on campus within critical buildings (13). In its current state, the facility has legacy cabling that is a minimum of 5 years old. With the improved technology used by our healthcare professionals, there is a requirement for cabling infrastructure that can support the users as they utilize high demand applications.

Bid Submission Date:

Responsive bids must be received by Monday, November 18, 2022 at 5:00 pm, PST.  

Scope of Project:

  • Provide and install Category 6A plenum cabling, patch panels, patch cords, and two port faceplates for 548 drops: 274 locations with 2 drops each. Patch cables will connect to existing network switches 
    • Patch panels would assume to be going in existing racks or cabinets and appropriate space is available 
    • Ceilings are drop ceiling, with the exception of 4 of the buildings which have an attic, easily accessible 
    • Fiber is existing on campus, between buildings 
    • Conduit is not anticipated to be required and would be excluded from this scope to be provided, if necessary, as part of a separate scope of work 
  • Provide engineering support and documentation 
  • Provide training

Scope of Bid:

Bids should be based on “Scope of Project” above. 


K’ima:w Medical Center reserves the right to reject any and all proposals or any part thereof, to waive any formalities or informalities and further, to award the services to the most responsive and responsible Proposer, according to KMC’s evaluation and as deemed to be in the best interest of K’ima:w Medical Center.
