
Dr. Shea grew up in Jacksonville, FL and is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame. She studied medicine at the Johns Hopkins University, where she also earned a Master's in Public Health with a concentration in child and adolescent health. She trained in Pediatrics at the University of California San Francisco as part of the Pediatrics Leadership for the Underserved) PLUS_ program. After residency, Dr. Shea spent 5 years with the Baylor International Pediatric AIDS Initiative's Global Health Corps in Mwanza, Tanzania, caring for infants, children, and adolescents exposed to and infected with HIV. She returned to the United States and joined Agape Community Health Center in February 2017 where she spent 7 years caring for children in the Jacksonville community. She is excited to be back in California and to join the team at K'ima:w Medical Center.
