Dr. Voscopoulos is board-certified in Anesthesiology, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine through the American Board of Anesthesiology, Neurocritical Care through the American Board of Anesthesiology, American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and the United Council for Neurological Subspecialties, Transesophageal Echocardiography and Critical Care Echocardiography through the National Board of Echocardiography, board-certified in Addiction Medicine through the American Board of Preventive Medicine, board certified in Lifestyle Medicine through the American Board of Lifestyle Medicine, and board certified in Obesity Medicine through the American Board of Obesity Medicine. He is also board-eligible in Clinical Informatics through the American Board of Preventive Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. He earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine. During medical school, he completed a prestigious 2-year research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health where he studied molecular genetics and published several peer-reviewed papers with his work. Upon graduation, he completed his internship in Surgery at Stanford University School of Medicine, his residency in Anesthesia at the University of California San Francisco and Emory University School of Medicine, and his fellowships in Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. While at Harvard University he won the Anesthesiology Department Fellow of the Year award. In addition to his medical and research training, Dr. Voscopoulos also completed his Master’s in Business Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Health Sector Finance and Management from Duke University, is a graduate of the California Healthcare Foundation, University of California San Francisco, 2-year Healthcare Leadership Fellowship, holds a Master’s Degree in Maharishi Ayurvedic and Integrative Medicine from Maharishi University of Management, and also holds masters in law with a concentration in business law from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. As a physician and healthcare leader, Dr. Voscopoulos is committed to non-profit medicine, advocating for equal access to healthcare and universal care. He is particularly enthusiastic about his work with the Indian Health Services, reflecting his passion for providing high-quality care to those in need.
