Dr. Jon Updike is honored to serve the Hoopa Valley Tribe as a psychiatrist and is committed to earning their trust while recognizing his position as a guest. He acknowledges the historical impact of colonization, remains mindful of his privilege, and strives to work collaboratively with K’ima:w Medical Center and the community. Dr. Updike earned his MD from Columbia University, an MPH from Johns Hopkins, and completed his psychiatry training at Stanford, where he is now a Clinical Assistant Professor.
